The COHRICE meeting held on October 14–15, 2022, at UMFST in Târgu Mureș focused on reviewing project progress, refining educational materials, and planning upcoming tasks.
The University of Pécs reported significant advancements on prenatal genetic screening and ultrasound challenges while emphasizing the need for a review to ensure ethical and legal compliance across partner countries. The Medical University of Vienna shared updates on completed modules addressing infertility and advanced reproductive technologies, noting plans to enhance cultural elements and include more case-based learning tools. UMFST highlighted progress on infectious diseases in pregnancy and minority care, with pilot teaching sessions indicating a need to simplify technical terminology for broader accessibility.
Partners agreed to finalize all professional materials in English, with translations into Hungarian, Romanian, and German to follow. It was confirmed that the completed materials would be integrated into the curricula at all partner institutions, with strong support from their education directorates. Dissemination efforts were also addressed, with plans to organize a regional webinar for healthcare professionals by February 2023.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to conduct a joint review of materials to ensure ethical and legal alignment. An online progress meeting will be held before April 2023, followed by an official meeting scheduled for April 20–21. This session reinforced the collaborative effort to deliver high-quality educational content aligned with project objectives.
