Objectives

We would like to make a relevant input to the curriculum of medical students to put their knowledge in context and awaken their interest not only in physical processes but to open their eyes to how changes in societies impact health and health care strategies. This kind of knowledge makes students more innovative, curious and motivated.

We believe that innovative, problem-oriented thinkers can only arise from medical students, whose education is interdisciplinary and in the context of culture and society. This aspect challenges the limits of the conventional approaches to medical education. Secondly, we would like to promote PACT suggestions and implement a course for resident medical doctors with an additional focus on trends influencing reproductive issues in our changing Europe.

This part of the project would fill the gap in the education of OB/GYN residents concerning medical knowledge. The COHRICE aims to ensure the sustainability of knowledge and skills dissemination on the level of teaching staff, medical students and OB/GYN residents by providing easily accessible, interactive and innovative material. We aim to ensure that the project structure is maintained in other universities after the life of this project.

Reaching out to teachers is one of our primary achievements through this project. We would like to disseminate our project results in the three participating countries through the involvement of not only the participating Universities but also Medical Universities in other parts of the countries, where professional ties and need for standardized and high-quality learning and teaching material is needed. We would also like to achieve the wider dissemination of our products through national OB/GYN and societies through presenting our consortium at regional conferences and further.

We would also like to raise awareness among allied professionals about certain trends in societies that influence reproductive health. These allied healthcare professionals are in the frontline of medical service and have the most influence to make high-impact changes through reducing modifiable risk factors (such as weight reduction, smoking secession, cultural adjustment or culturally competent patient care options, etc.)
